There are a handful of things I need to do on my Mac that require Windows. Most revolve around Domino Designer and Domino Administrator. That’s where Parallels comes in. I can launch Windows 2000 or Windows XP and use Domino tools without having to lug around another machine.
However, the biggest problem with doing this is the accuracy of the mouse cursor inside of Domino Designer. Designer switches the mouse cursor from the Windows arrow to the Windows hand with a cuff (different from the one used in links in their web browser). This is a problem because it makes it difficult to click small items like the elements inside of a database (like exact form names and such).
If you’re having this problem, then congratulations on finding a search string in Google that got you here. I’m sorry, but I don’t have a fix (yet). But I do have a tip… pretend the tip of your cursor is the thumb of the cursor icon (the thumb, then, acts like the corner of the normal arrow cursor). — You can also call IBM and COMPLAIN that they don’t have a version of Domino Designer/Administrator native to the Mac… but that won’t get you far.
