I have to use Parallels on my Mac so I can use Domino Administrator and Designer and not have to carry around two machines to do it. That’s fine… its not a big pain and its a nice option to have.I’m also using Parallels as a crutch for a handful of apps. I haven’t found a really good HTML/CSS editor for the Mac … so I can always fire up Windows and use FrontPage or TopStyle and quickly get something done.
Another crutch application is SimpleViewer (or in my case, Porta, which makes SimpleViewer albums quickly and easily). I did find a Mac version of this for iPhoto, but its not … “there” yet.
Here’s the problem… when you use Parallels, you can install the toolset that adds file sharing between your MacOSX environment and Windows. But it’s really tempermental… or just plain MENTAL! It often crashes for no reason and I can’t seem to figure out why. — When that happens, its time for a work-around. I found one, so you don’t have to.
