Project Overview

Total Solutions Group (TSG) was a premier IBM and Microsoft business partner and one of the Top 25 companies in Minnesota two years in a row. TSG wished to launch a new web site during a time of tremendous company growth that clearly presented the company in a way that instilled potential clients with a confidence about the company's capabilities, resources and consultant teams.

My role in the project was to champion the design and implementation of the website. I managed a team of Marketing staff, eBusiness Consultants and Graphic Designers who contributed content, images and code to the site.

A key component of this project was building the site in a way that would allow employees in the Marketing department to easily update the site content. The Lotus Notes/Domino platform provided the perfect mechanism to aid in doing this. A series of databases were developed which allowed employees with no HTML or website coding experience to easily update information in real-time on the site.

The finished site was a natural extension of the print Marketing campaign. Content such as the calendar of events and training schedule could easily be updated through a simple Lotus Notes database. The site's integration with the sales CRM system ensured that visitors who requested more information were assigned to a sales rep for follow-up to translate these leads into new customers.
